“ Rating: 8/10 Cute cafe in the heart of Little Tokyo with adorable pastries and a delicious matcha latte! Bf and I came on a Sunday at around 3PM. It was a little crowded inside with people waiting for drinks and enjoying their food. There was only one couple in front of us before we got to order. Here's what we got: 1) Matcha Latte: 9/10. I came here just to try this! Really great matcha flavor, I wouldn't say it was the strongest I've had but really balanced and not too sweet, which is perfect for me. Options for regular and large size, but I got regular and it was just enough for me to drink as I shopped. (P.S. the difference between matcha latte and premium is that matcha latte is sweetened while premium is unsweetened!) 2) Chocolate Milk Bun: 8/10. Delicious and light! The cream wasn't too oily and was just perfectly sweet. The bun was a tad bit dry but still pretty soft, I just wish it were softer, which would have made it perfect. 3) Fruity Pebbles Donut Hole (BF's pick + rating): 8/10. He mentioned it was not too sweet and had a chewy dough. I thought it was tad bit dry but still tasted good. Overall, I would definitely be back for the matcha latte! I've tried some other matcha lattes in the area and this is one of the better ones. I recommend you come try this place out for yourself! ”
“ I enjoyed their Assam Hong Kong tea, it was great. Unfortunately, I had to wait a while because someone took my order. But the team members were great and friendly. I also got few pastries, their custard creme brûlée is a must as well as their green tea donuts. I also enjoyed their chocolate donut holes. Inside is not that big, but plenty of pastries to choose from so be careful not to order a lot! or come only during your cheat day. Few seats inside and outside but if you happen to come during a busy day, then it's best to walk and snack! D ”
“ The food and drinks were great. The raspberry cream puff pastry thing was oh so fluffy and sweet. The blueberry matcha latte was also delightful. Breakfast burrito was filled to the brim with egg. I might have wanted a little more meat/sausage, but overall it was still a solid burrito. I went with my friend right after the Dodgers parade, so the restaurant was the hectic and busy. We had some communication problems with my order, but they were resolved by the team. I gotta give it up to Phil for his efforts to make things right, and for the rest of the staff for handling the rush of customers. Amazing customer service! ”
“ Great drinks - some of the best matcha! Large selection of delicious fresh baked pastries (the matcha brick toast is sweet, fluffy, and perfect with a hot drink). Cozy little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. And wonderful friendly staff! They do not have WiFi. I've been to another location and this one so far is the best one, highly recommend! ”
“ We visited around 3:30pm on a Sunday. It was busy but not extremely crowded. We found parking in the garage directly across the street and paid $15 flat fee. There is street parking and validated parking available as well for cheaper options. Cafe Dulce was easy to find in the Japanese Village Plaza. The inside is small and the line will be out the door since the entry way is small so fear not of the line! It goes by fast. The employees were nice and patient when I ordered my large order. There is perimeter barstool seating inside, approximately 8 people could sit inside. And there are dedicated tables outside as well, about 5 tables that can fit a couple of people each. There is no bathroom available. Hot food is served until 6pm. Breakfast items are available too until 6pm. For drinks, I got the blueberry matcha latte iced and it was amazingly delicious. It was sweet but not overwhelming and I could taste hints of blueberry. We got the donuts right away at the cashier and the drinks were ready within 5 minutes of ordering. The food took about 15 minutes to come out. Here is the ratings for the food/drink: - Blueberry Matcha Latte: 5/5 - Ranchera Steak Burrito: 4/5 - very filling and tasted good. The hot sauce it came with was fresh and very spicy - Fruity Pebble Donut: 5/5 - perfect balance of fluffy donut with a thin layer of cream and the fruity pebble sweetness - Maple Macadamian Donut: 5/5 (my favorite!) - Green Tea Donut: 3.5/5 - Strawberry Jam Donut: 5/5 (very sweet) - Chocolate Cream Donut: 4/5 - Mango Milk Cream Donut: 4/5 - cream heavy but the subtle mango flavor was great! - Cinnamon Toast Crunch: 3.5 - Tasted a bit plain but love the execution of it - Dinosaur Egg: 2/5 - seems like a fan favorite but I did not like the hard outer shell. The inside texture was nice and had the chew of a sourdough bread, the taste was a plain sesame. I enjoyed more of the sweeter treats. Surprisingly, all of this only came out to about $65. That's not bad for specialty donuts, drinks, and two filling meals! Plus the artwork on the box is so cute! Would definitely come back again to try their other sweet treats and sandwiches. ”
